An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join a well-established and growing supplier of construction plant and heavy equipment in Dublin. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced plant fitter looking to step into a supervisory position or an established chargehand seeking a new challenge.

Operating for several decades, our client is a recognised leader within the construction equipment and heavy machinery sector, supplying, servicing and supporting a range of industry-leading products across Ireland. Due to continued growth and investment within the service department, they are now seeking to appoint a Workshop Supervisor to support the efficient day-to-day operation of their Dublin workshop.
Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing workshop operations, supporting technicians and ensuring machinery repairs and preparation work are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting the Workshop Manager in the daily running of the workshop.
• Supervising and supporting workshop personnel and apprentices.
• Monitoring the progress of major repairs and highlighting any issues that may impact deadlines or quality standards.
• Ensuring all machinery is repaired, tested and completed safely within agreed timescales.
• Providing technical guidance and best practice recommendations to workshop staff.
• Carrying out hands-on product training and mentoring of developing technicians.
• Overseeing repairs and refurbishment of used machinery for resale.
• Coordinating customer and warranty repair work undertaken within the workshop.
Person:
This position would suit an experienced Construction Plant Fitter or Heavy Equipment Technician who enjoys a combination of technical and leadership responsibilities.
Key requirements:
• Qualified Construction Plant Fitter or equivalent mechanical qualification.
• Strong experience working on construction plant, heavy equipment or related machinery.
• Previous supervisory, team lead or mentoring experience would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence required.

• €55,000 – €61,000 DOE
