Apply directFRS Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established Irish main contractor to recruit a Project Manager for a major commercial construction project in Killarney.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor with a strong pipeline of work throughout Kerry and the Munster Region. The successful candidate will initially take responsibility for a significant commercial development, beginning with a small demolition phase before progressing into the main construction works. Following successful delivery, there will be excellent opportunities to continue working on future projects across the region.
The role is ideally suited to an experienced Project Manager with proven experience delivering projects from pre-construction through to final handover, working closely with clients, consultants and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project from enabling works through to final completion.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate design development and resolve technical queries.
- Ensure programme milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Monitor project costs alongside the commercial team.
- Chair regular site and progress meetings with stakeholders.
- Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety and quality.
- Report regularly to the Contracts Manager on project performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor.
- Full project lifecycle delivery experience from start to handover.
- Strong commercial construction project experience essential.
- In-situ concrete frame experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of programme, quality and cost control.
- Irish/UK experience highly advantageous.
