A leading Home Support Provider in Ireland is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Home Support Workers to join their growing team.

The Role
As a Home Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Providing emotional, social and practical support
- Supporting clients in accordance with their individual care plans
- Promoting independence, dignity and choice
- Maintaining accurate records and completing detailed reports
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Adhering to all organisational policies and procedures
- Travelling between clients' homes to provide scheduled care and support
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in Health or Social Care, including supporting individuals with disabilities and/or older people
- A relevant healthcare qualification equivalent to a full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support Award or higher
- Qualified Nurses and candidates with relevant Level 7 Social Care qualifications are also encouraged to apply
- Experience providing personal care
- Good knowledge of infection prevention and control
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Full clean driving licence
- Access to a vehicle
- Availability to work day, evening and weekend shifts
- Good communication, interpersonal and practical care skills
- A reliable, flexible and caring approach
- A commitment to providing respectful, person-centred care
Desirable Training & Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- Epilepsy Training
- Positive Behaviour Support training
- MAPA or equivalent training
- Specialised training or experience within the disability sector
