Location: Rochester, NY
Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse and inventory operations in Rochester, NY. This temp-to-perm role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, performing cycle counts, processing inventory transactions, and partnering with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate is analytical, comfortable working with computer systems and RF scanners, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Pay Rate:
- $17.00 - $18.00/Hour (Based On Experience)
Shift(s):
- 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday
Job Duties:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records
- Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies or shortages
- Partner with planning and warehouse teams to research and resolve inventory issues
- Utilize RF scanners and inventory systems to complete cycle counts and inventory transactions
- Process incoming receipts and outgoing shipments accurately
- Participate in physical inventory audits and maintain inventory accuracy standards
- Review inventory data and update records as needed
- Maintain organized inventory locations and support warehouse efficiency
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Provide support to warehouse operations as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous inventory control, warehouse, or materials experience preferred
- Experience using RF scanners preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive inventory and counting tasks
- Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory management systems
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Must follow all workplace safety requirements and procedures
