About the role
Reporting to the Director, Marketing, Communications and Growth, the Associate Director, Marketing provides strategic leadership for the University's integrated marketing function, ensuring marketing strategy, brand positioning and market engagement support the institution’s strategic objectives, growth agenda and reputation. Driving a high performance team in an Agile environment, the appointee will develop the enterprise-wide marketing strategy, oversee marketing capability and governance frameworks, and drive evidence-based decision making across domestic and international markets. The role provides leadership across brand strategy, marketing planning, digital marketing, campaign optimisation, market intelligence and organisational capability, working collaboratively with executive leaders, academic institutes and professional services to enhance student acquisition, engagement and reputation. Key to success will be a firm grasp of emerging technology, including AI and generative AI, and evolving channels.
About you
You are a contemporary marketing leader with best-practice expertise and a genuine understanding of how emerging technology, including AI, is reshaping audience behavior. With experience navigating large complex service organisations, you possess demonstrated success leading enterprise marketing strategy and integrated marketing initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes. You are adept at advising senior executives, influencing organisational decision-making, and building productive internal and external stakeholder relationships. Your track record leading multidisciplinary teams in Agile ways of working includes building capability, driving performance and leading transformational change. Underpinning your deep experience in brand strategy, CX, market positioning, and use of market intelligence and analytics to inform strategy, are your strong commercial acumen, passion to make a difference and a belief in the power of education to change lives.
