Pick Packers - Night Shift (FSF)

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for experienced storepersons to join a hard-working pick/pack team based in Mangere. This role sits within a fast-paced food distribution warehouse operating across three departments — Drystore (ambient temperature), Chiller, and Freezer — and offers stable, high-volume hours for reliable, physically fit candidates.

LOCATION & EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

• Location: Mangere, Auckland
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Work Schedule: Night shift, 6:00pm – 3:00am, 5 x 9-hour shifts across Sunday to Friday (actual shift days discussed at interview); minimum 45 hours per week; flexibility required for additional hours as business needs change
• Industry: Food Distribution / Warehousing

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role suits a reliable, physically fit individual comfortable working unsupervised across ambient, chiller, and freezer environments. Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential, and preference will be given to those keen to learn to operate a forklift and/or reach truck. A demonstrated history of reliability, strong English and numerical skills, and accuracy under time pressure are key to success in this role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently across Drystore, Chiller, and Freezer departments
• Perform frequent heavy lifting of up to 25kg
• Work unsupervised while meeting speed and accuracy targets
• Maintain reliability and consistency in attendance and performance
• Learn to operate forklift and/or reach truck (desirable, not essential)
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and spoken English and numerical skills
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Accuracy and speed with picking and packing orders
• Experience working in a food distribution or similar warehouse environment (desirable)
• No criminal convictions
• Must provide 2 contactable work referees
• NZ permanent residency or citizenship required
• Must agree to security checks, ACC pre-employment checks, pre-employment drug testing, and a health check if working in the freezer
