Contract: 12 months
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to support a major cyber resilience and security uplift program within a large, complex enterprise environment.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on network security, segmentation, DNS security, identity, security architecture, monitoring, hardening and recovery. You will work across multiple security initiatives, taking solutions from technical design through implementation, testing and transition into operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise network security controls, including segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access and security zones
- Engineer security capabilities across WAF, protective DNS, DNS filtering, NDR, SIEM/MDR, MFA, IGA and PAM
Develop secure network architectures across cloud and on-premises environments - Perform technical security assurance, vulnerability assessment, configuration reviews and control testing
Support security automation using PowerShell, Python, Terraform and APIs - Work closely with architecture, network, cloud, infrastructure, identity and application teams
About You
You will bring senior-level experience designing and implementing enterprise security solutions in complex hybrid environments, with strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, WAF, network access controls and DNS security. Experience delivering security controls across large cyber uplift or resilience programs will be highly regarded.
Hands-on experience with logging/SOC environments, operating system hardening and identity/access integration is also required.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Microsoft Security or AWS/Azure Security certifications are desirable.
This is an excellent 12-month opportunity for a senior cyber security engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on while contributing to large-scale security and resilience initiatives.
