Supervisor - Food Services

South West Personnel (SWP) are seeking an experienced Food Services Supervisor to support the Food Services Coordinator and Kitchen Supervisors within a busy hospital kitchen in Bunbury.

With a commitment to outstanding customer service and patient care, this role will support food service operations across the hospital's food services, onsite café and kitchen environments, offering a variety of shifts and work settings.

Duties Can Include:

• Coordinating the team across day and afternoon shifts to ensure the smooth running of food service operations
• Understanding rostering requirements within a seven-day-a-week operation, including staffing levels, shift coverage and managing changes or absences as they arise
• Leading, supporting, mentoring and developing staff, including coordinating training and ensuring team members are competent and confident in their duties
• Maintaining a strong understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements
• Maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety, including identifying hazards, completing incident and safety reporting, and following up on areas of concern
• Ensuring appropriate standards of hygiene, infection control, cleaning and food service are consistently maintained
• Managing day-to-day staffing and operational issues, including addressing performance or workplace matters appropriately, while working closely with the Food Services Coordinator to maintain an efficient, safe and well-organised department
• Backfilling the Food Services Coordinator position during annual leave, personal leave or other absences

To Be Successful, You Will Bring:

• Previous supervisory experience within catering, hospitality, food service or healthcare
• Previous experience within hospitality and commercial cleaning environments, with a strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation standards
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a diverse team
• A thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
• Confidence using computer systems and completing compliance documentation
• Flexibility to work across the operational roster, including weekends if required
