About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Construction Supervisor to represent the client on a significant State Government civil infrastructure project on Rottnest Island. Working on a $10–15 million underground services and civil earthworks project, you will oversee the managing contractor and ensure all construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, budgets, and schedules.
This is a hands-on client-side role requiring a strong background in civil earthworks, underground services, contract administration, and stakeholder management within government or major infrastructure environments.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Construction Supervisor to represent the client on a significant State Government civil infrastructure project on Rottnest Island. Working on a $10–15 million underground services and civil earthworks project, you will oversee the managing contractor and ensure all construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, budgets, and schedules.
This is a hands-on client-side role requiring a strong background in civil earthworks, underground services, contract administration, and stakeholder management within government or major infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the client's on-site representative throughout project delivery.
- Monitor and supervise the Managing Contractor's performance across all stages of construction.
- Ensure civil earthworks and underground utility works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Verify compliance with project scope, contract requirements, environmental obligations, and safety standards.
- Review construction methodologies, work programs, progress claims, and contractor deliverables.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, scope changes, and potential delays.
- Provide regular progress reporting to project managers and key government stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between contractors, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders.
- Support project completion activities, defects management, and handover processes.
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Superintendent's Representative, Site Supervisor, or similar client-side role within civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in civil earthworks, underground services, drainage, utilities, or associated infrastructure works.
- Experience administering and overseeing contractor performance on projects valued between $10 million and $50 million.
- Sound understanding of construction contracts, quality assurance, safety management, and project controls.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working on government, public sector, or regulated infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
