Our client is seeking an experienced Utility & Facilities Manager to oversee facilities management operations based in Northmead, NSW.

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing facilities operations, contractor performance, compliance requirements, and facilities-related capital projects at a key production facility.

You will work closely with operational leaders, service providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure facilities are safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.

This role offers a blend of operational facilities management, contractor governance, budget oversight, and project delivery, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to make a tangible impact within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the performance and relationship of external Facilities Management service providers.
  • Oversee delivery of both hard and soft facilities services, including planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, waste management, pest control, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure facilities and building infrastructure are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost effectively.
  • Coordinate contractor activities and manage permit-to-work processes.
  • Monitor and drive compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead facilities-related continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular reporting on facilities performance, budgets, risks, and project delivery.
  • Monitor operational expenditure and identify opportunities to improve value and cost efficiencies.
  • Manage minor capital works projects from planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
  • Partner with site leadership teams to support operational continuity and business objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience managing facilities management contracts, service providers, and contractors.
  • Experience delivering capital works projects within manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or commercial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of contractor management, permit-to-work systems, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Demonstrated budget management and cost-control experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of the National Construction Code (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Qualifications in Facilities Management, Construction, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.
