A cohesive behavioral health team in Central Connecticut is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to serve as Associate Medical Director while providing comprehensive psychiatric care.


Position Highlights:

  • Associate Medical Director role with clinical and operational leadership responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric services across adult, adolescent and child populations
  • Direct patient care including diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy
  • Work within a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Serve as a clinical team leader coordinating and supervising care across disciplines
  • Provide guidance to clinicians on treatment planning and patient care
  • Provide supervision to selected non-physician health professionals
  • Provide oversight of psychiatric consultation-liaison services
  • Serve as a resource for risk management and patient safety
  • Communicate with outside providers, primary care physicians, schools and families
  • Participate in Medical Staff committees and meetings
  • Supervise clinical training in community psychiatry for fellows, residents and medical students
  • Access to academic, research and leadership opportunities
  • Mentorship program and virtual daily grand rounds
  • Practice within a highly integrated behavioral health network with extensive inpatient and outpatient resources

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Experience with inpatient psychiatry and psychiatric evaluation services
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary treatment model
  • Connecticut medical license or eligibility
  • DEA registration and CCSR
  • Computer and keyboarding proficiency
