Human Resources Business Partner (6-Month Contract)
Location: East Region

We are looking for a hands-on and adaptable Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our client's operations team within an industrial and engineering environment. This role will partner closely with business leaders, department heads, and operational employees across a workforce largely consisting of engineers, technicians, and MRO employees.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing HR operations, employee relations, and business partnering within a fast-paced and ground-up operational setting.

Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering

• Act as the HR partner supporting operational leaders and employees across the site
• Support employee relations matters, grievances, and day-to-day HR advisory topics
• Partner closely with department heads and General Manager on people-related matters

HR Operations & Shared Services Transition

• Support ongoing transition of HR operations activities into shared services model
• Coordinate payroll and leave administration activities with payroll/shared services teams
• Support backend HR operational activities and workflow coordination

Projects & Employee Engagement

• Support union / MOU-related coordination and documentation activities
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company events, including Dinner & Dance coordination
• Participate in HR alignment and process improvement projects across business units

Stakeholder & COE Collaboration

• Work closely with internal COEs including:
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Shared Services
  • Total Rewards
• Escalate and coordinate hiring or employee-related matters where required

Requirements

• Prior experience in HRBP / HR Generalist / HR Operations environment
• Comfortable supporting operational / industrial workforce environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently within a fast-paced operational setting
• Hands-on and adaptable personality with willingness to support operational HR matters
• Exposure to payroll or leave administration coordination
• Experience supporting unionised workforce or employee relations matters
• Experience working with blue-collar workforce and operational stakeholders
