Are you a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative with experience in warehouse operations and stock handling? This Warehouse Operative role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting business operations by ensuring stock is accurately received, stored, picked and dispatched while maintaining a safe and organised warehouse environment.

What you'll be doing
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll take responsibility for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, unloading, checking and storing incoming deliveries, reporting any discrepancies promptly
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately for dispatch or collection
- Loading and unloading lorries and containers using forklift trucks where required
- Safely storing stock within warehouse racking and designated holding areas
- Carrying out regular inventory controls, stock checks and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy
- Maintaining accurate stock records and updating warehouse systems
- Operating warehouse equipment safely and carrying out routine equipment checks
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety procedures
- Working closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently
- Following company procedures, quality standards and warehouse regulations
- Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations
About you
To succeed as a Warehouse Operative, you'll bring a proactive attitude, strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, along with:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Experience with stock control and inventory management
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Experience using warehouse management systems or inventory software
- Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences (preferred)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A positive, energetic and enthusiastic approach to work
- Full UK driving licence (advantageous)
