The role of the Utility Technician is to maintain HKE standards and rework area. The role varies from plant to plant, dependent upon the size of the facility and equipment. An Utility Technician may work as part of department or work independently.
CORE RESPONSIBILITY
Maintain the rework area; including but not limited to pumping GP and sludging (removing waste). Shredding plastic buckets, lids, sample containers, etc.
Loading empty drums and totes into trailers to be delivered to recycling facility.
Assist with the removal of wastewater.
Perform housekeeping duties around the facility as needed.
Actively participate in SMART and other safety programs.
Follow all EHS regulations and guidelines.
Operate equipment such as industrial lifts, floor scrubber,
