Build Better Thermal Solutions.

We're seeking an experienced R&D Engineer with direct heat exchanger experience to support the development, application, and continuous improvement of engineered thermal equipment. This role combines hands-on engineering with product development, customer application support, and manufacturing collaboration, making it ideal for someone who understands both heat transfer technology and how engineered products are actually built.

What You'll Own

Thermal & Application Engineering

  • Provide technical expertise for air-cooled heat exchangers, dry coolers, CRAHs, and related thermal systems.

  • Support equipment selection, sizing, configuration, and customization based on customer requirements.

  • Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and air/fluid dynamics principles to equipment applications.

  • Develop and maintain selection tools, application methods, and technical documentation.

  • Support Sales and Business Development with technical product and application guidance.

  • Serve as a technical resource for customers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Product Development

  • Own assigned products through development, launch, manufacturing release, and ongoing improvement.

  • Translate customer feedback, market requirements, and operational needs into product requirements.

  • Establish product specifications, performance targets, and improvement priorities.

  • Evaluate opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.

  • Support new product development and enhancements to existing equipment.

  • Coordinate technical requirements and readiness activities prior to production release.

Manufacturing & Engineering Support

  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain throughout product development.

  • Review designs and changes for manufacturability, production feasibility, and cost effectiveness.

  • Identify and resolve product-readiness issues before they impact production.

  • Support the transition of new and modified products into manufacturing.

  • Incorporate manufacturing feedback and field experience into product improvements.

  • Support product change management and continuous improvement activities.

Product Strategy & Improvement

  • Analyze customer feedback, product performance, market information, and competitive data.

  • Identify opportunities for new products, product enhancements, and process improvements.

  • Help establish product priorities, performance goals, and development roadmaps.

  • Balance customization, standardization, cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

  • Evaluate new technologies and engineering methods that may improve product performance.

  • Support applicable product approvals and certifications, including UL, CE, EMC, and other requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and customer teams.

  • Translate technical requirements into clear engineering and development priorities.

  • Participate in design reviews, product development meetings, and release activities.

  • Provide technical guidance when product or application issues arise.

  • Communicate engineering concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Help resolve customer, manufacturing, and product-performance challenges.
