Our client is a growing organisation within the healthcare and workforce services sector, currently going through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

We are looking for two HR Advisors to join their team. These are hands-on, operational HR roles where you'll work closely with leaders across the business, providing practical advice across employee relations, workforce compliance, WHS and the broader employee lifecycle.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being close to the operation, solving problems and having a genuine impact within a fast-paced and evolving business.

About the Role

Working closely with operational Team Leaders across different areas of the business, you will act as a trusted HR Advisor and escalation point for a broad range of people and workforce matters.

You'll support leaders to confidently manage performance, conduct, employee relations and workplace issues, while ensuring employment decisions are fair, compliant and aligned with business requirements.

This is a hands-on HR role, so you'll need to enjoy getting into the detail, working collaboratively with stakeholders and finding practical solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide practical HR advice and support to operational leaders across the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances and workplace issues.
  • Interpret Awards, employment legislation and industrial instruments and provide clear advice to leaders.
  • Support leaders through performance management and other employee relations processes.
  • Ensure employment documentation, HR records and workforce data are accurate and compliant.
  • Support workforce compliance and governance within a highly regulated environment.
  • Assist with WHS matters, including injury management and return-to-work processes.
  • Support workforce mobility, redeployment and employment transitions where required.
  • Contribute to compliance requirements associated with government workforce programs.
  • Work collaboratively with Payroll, Finance, Compliance and Employee Wellbeing teams.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational leaders on people matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and the employee experience.
  • Contribute to a positive, accountable and collaborative workplace culture.
About You

We're looking for an experienced HR generalist who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys partnering closely with leaders.

You'll ideally have:
  • 3+ years' experience across a generalist HR / People & Culture environment.
  • Strong experience managing employee relations matters and providing practical advice to leaders.
  • Solid knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and industrial instruments.
  • Experience working within a regulated, compliance-focused or workforce-intensive environment.
  • A good understanding of WHS, injury management and return-to-work processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence managing HR documentation and workforce data.
  • The confidence to act as an escalation point for operational people matters.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach to HR.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships while providing clear and confident advice.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in the detail.
Australian HR experience and strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation is essential. Experience within healthcare, aged care, labour hire, workforce management or another highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a business that has been through significant change and is now well positioned for its next phase of growth.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive team where you'll have the opportunity to continue building your HR capability while working closely with operational leaders and having a real impact on the workforce.

The role offers excellent exposure across ER, compliance, WHS and the broader employee lifecycle, making it particularly well suited to an experienced HR Advisor who wants to broaden their skill set and increase their influence within a business.

You'll also be joining at an exciting time; the organisation is focused on growth, and you'll have the opportunity to bring your existing HR experience into a business where there is genuine scope to improve processes, build capability and make an impact.

If you're an experienced HR generalist looking for a hands-on role where you can work closely with leaders, broaden your ER experience and contribute to the growth of an organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
