About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join their team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality customer service while supporting the daily operations of a busy branch.
You will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting with product enquiries, processing sales, and ensuring a smooth and efficient sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, professional, and friendly customer service
- Assist customers with product selection and technical enquiries
- Process sales transactions, quotations, orders, and invoices
- Maintain strong product knowledge across industrial products
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams for order fulfilment
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised branch environment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Assist with receipting stock and general branch duties
- Follow workplace health & safety policies and procedures
- Previous experience in counter sales, customer service, or industrial sales (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Good computer and administrative skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift licence
- Knowledge of industrial hose, fittings, hydraulics, or similar products
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
