Site Manager

Our client is a leading Tier 1 commercial construction company with a long-standing presence across New Zealand and a reputation for delivering complex, high-profile builds. They are currently on site with one of the largest commercial projects in Auckland.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will take ownership of your area of the build, running day-to-day site operations and driving quality, programme and safety outcomes.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Manage daily site activities, subcontractors and trades across your work area
• Drive programme delivery - sequencing, short-term look-aheads and coordination with the wider project team
• Lead site health, safety and environmental performance and set the standard on site
• Manage quality assurance, ITPs, inspections and defect close-out
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, consultants and the client's representatives
• Keep accurate site records, diaries and progress reporting

What you'll bring

• Proven, significant Site Management experience on commercial construction projects
• A background with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Trade or construction management qualification (or equivalent site-earned experience)
• Strong subcontractor management and programme discipline
• Excellent health and safety leadership
• Confident communication with clients, consultants and site teams
• NZ residency, citizenship or a valid open work visa
