Job Overview:
The Senior HR Generalist will support the North American Compression Systems & Services HR team in Davidson, NC by partnering with the Sr. HR Manager to execute strategic HR initiatives and deliver day-to-day HR support. This role serves as a key resource for salaried employees, as well as leadership, helping to drive a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and contributes to high-impact HR project
Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Works closely with leadership, HR Business Partners, and employees to improve work relationships, build positive engagement, and increase productivity and retention
- Acts as employee advocate through effective employee relations
- Creates positive change through coaching, counseling, and influencing skills
- Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends/opportunities, proposing solutions/changes, where needed
- Drives and enables cultural transformation to support an employee ownership mentality
- Counsels management and employees regarding policies and procedures
- Provides guidance and participation in performance improvement processes as well as employee issues, concerns, or complaints
- Recruitment: manages onboarding process, including pre-employment testing, new hire paperwork, orientation, and HRIS entry.
- HRIS: Maintains Success Factors Human Resources Information System employee database and files.
- Communication/Training: Deploys HR plans, processes, programs, and policies aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment/performance management, employee engagement and communications
- Partnership: Collaborates with local HR business partners to share best practices, critical needs issues, and local site and sector initiatives.
- Benefits: Assists employees with benefits issues, annual open enrollment process, wellness on-site annual screenings
- Other responsibilities as assigned or required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources
Core Competencies:
- Experience in industrial manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills.
- Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making skills.
- Experience with UKG payroll, timekeeping, and SAP SuccessFactors HRIS strongly preferred.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to leverage HR metrics to support strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance practices.
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- SHRM-CP or SCP is a plus
- SAP Success Factors experience preferred
- Sound judgment and problem solving ability with strong relationship building skills.
- Expertise in employee relations
- Excellent communication skills
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- This position will be based at our corporate offices in Davidson, NC.
