Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor – FM Service Provider – London Victoria – Up to £55,000 per annum

CBW is currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading Facilities Management provider on a prestigious commercial estate in Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong M&E professional to work within a large, high-profile mixed-use environment comprising premium office and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of on-site engineers while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day maintenance of the buildings. You will oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, fault finding, compliance and specialist subcontractors, ensuring all engineering activities are completed safely and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on supervisory position, suited to an experienced engineer who is comfortable leading from the front, supporting engineers with technical issues and carrying out maintenance where required. You will also assist with coordinating workloads, monitoring PPM completion, managing contractors and ensuring the buildings continue to operate efficiently within a busy, client-facing commercial environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supervising a small on-site team of engineers, ensuring high standards of service delivery and technical performance.
• Acting as the primary client-facing contact for all day-to-day electrical, technical, and operational matters.
• Managing the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring all electrical works are completed within contractual timeframes.
• Coordinating and managing specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures and statutory requirements.
• Monitoring site compliance and ensuring all electrical compliance documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Managing subcontractor attendance, reviewing reports, and ensuring all remedial works are tracked through to completion.
• Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site's electrical infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
• Identifying, scoping, and developing additional works opportunities in line with client requirements.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Supervisor, Lead Engineer, or similar within a commercial Facilities Management environment.
• Strong electrical or mechanical background with good knowledge of commercial building services.
• Proven experience supervising engineers and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
• Good understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding and statutory compliance.
• Experience monitoring compliance documentation and ensuring maintenance activities are completed to the required standards.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to deal confidently with day-to-day technical and operational matters.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to support the engineering team technically and carry out maintenance when required.
