Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Education Environment - Hampstead, North West London | Up to £50,000 per annum

A leading facilities management service provider based in Hampstead, North West London, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a static contract within an educational setting.

This is a single-person site role, and the successful candidate will take full responsibility for all landlord and tenant M&E and fabric maintenance, covering both planned and reactive work. You'll be the sole engineer on site, so a broad, hands-on skill set across the following areas is essential:

• Lighting: small installations, fault-finding, lamping, ballast replacement, control panels, power distribution
• Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
• Air conditioning: air handling units and fan coil units (filter changes, cleaning)
• Chillers: resetting
• Pumps and motors
• Water treatment: temperature checks (non-dosing)
• Plumbing: unblocking toilets, changing taps and seals
• BMS monitoring (hot and cold systems)
• UPS systems: monitoring and taking readings
• General building fabric maintenance
• Escorting subcontractors

Working hours

• Monday to Friday,
• 08:00–17:00 (40-hour week)
• Overtime available.

• Basic salary up to £50,000

Requirements

• Electrically qualified, with trade certificates available for review
• City & Guilds - NVQ Level 2 & 3
• City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition
• Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance
• Strong customer service skills
• Honest, hardworking, and reliable
• DBS check required due to the educational setting
