Planning/ Programming Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Planning Manager to lead project planning, procurement scheduling, and BOQ management across major construction projects in Papua New Guinea.

This role is responsible for developing and managing detailed construction programs, coordinating local and international procurement schedules, and ensuring alignment between project timelines, costs, quantities, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage baseline construction programs and master schedules.
• Prepare look-ahead, tender, methodology, and recovery programs.
• Conduct schedule updates, critical path analysis, and progress reporting.
• Develop and manage procurement schedules, including international logistics and long-lead items.
• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Support cost forecasting, cash flow planning, variations, and claims.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, procurement, and commercial stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting project time, cost, and delivery.

About You

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in construction planning, project controls, or quantity surveying.
• Proven experience developing complex construction programs and BOQs.
• Experience managing international procurement and logistics.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, commercial principles, and contract administration.
• Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel skills.
