Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with a strong eye for quality control? Appointments Personnel is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative – Quality Control in Newcastle-under-Lyme to join a busy warehouse and production environment. This role focuses primarily on goods-in, quality checking, stock control and inventory accuracy, and would suit candidates with warehouse experience who work accurately, follow procedures carefully and take pride in high standards.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative – Quality Control, you'll be responsible for checking incoming deliveries, identifying discrepancies or damaged goods, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring materials are stored correctly. The role also involves order fulfilment, loading and unloading, production support and general warehouse duties, so no two days are quite the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload, inspect and verify incoming deliveries against relevant documentation.
• Carry out quality checks on materials and products in line with established procedures.
• Record and report discrepancies, damaged goods or quality issues.
• Sort, store and batch materials in the correct locations.
• Pick, pack and despatch customer orders accurately and within required timescales.
• Load and unload deliveries safely, using pallet trucks, hand trolleys and other warehouse equipment.
• Carry out regular stock and cycle counts, and assist with scheduled stocktakes.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
• Assist with production and assembly activities when required, inspecting finished products for defects.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this Warehouse Operative – Quality Control role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Experience with quality checking, goods-in or stock control processes.
• Confidence using warehouse management systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• A strong understanding of health and safety and housekeeping standards.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and support the wider warehouse operation.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary dependent on experience.
• Permanent, full-time position.

Working Hours and Location

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm.
• Full-time, based on-site in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
