An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation in Stoke-on-Trent, playing a key role within its central finance function. This role covers management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control, and would suit a confident finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders across a business.
The Role
As a Management Accountant, you'll work closely with the Finance Director, senior managers and budget holders, providing accurate financial information, analysis and advice to support effective decision-making, financial planning and ongoing financial performance. It's a varied role with genuine exposure to stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate management accounts and financial reports.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
- Monitor budgets and expenditure, identifying variances and areas requiring attention.
- Work closely with budget holders to provide financial guidance and support.
- Provide clear financial information and analysis to senior stakeholders.
- Support effective financial controls and ensure financial processes are followed.
- Assist with financial planning and the ongoing monitoring of organisational performance.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Support the Finance Director with wider finance projects and requirements.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Management Accountant role, you'll ideally have:
- Strong management accounting experience.
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting.
- The ability to analyse financial information and present findings clearly.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and budget holders.
- Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
Salary and Benefits
- £43,149 £46,579 per annum.
