Public Sector People are working with a QLD State Government Organisation who are seeking an AO8 Manager Governance, Risk and Planning to join their Governance, Risk & Planning Team on a temporary contract.

Position Details 

• Position Title: Manager Governance Risk and Planning
• ASAP Start
• Duration: 3 months (approx.)
• Location: Brisbane – North side
• Free onsite parking and flexible work arrangements
• Pay from $96 per hour + 12% super

   
Role Overview:
  
This role requires an experienced practitioner who can quickly establish themselves within the organisation, work autonomously with minimal direction and supervision, and effectively drive agreed risk deliverables to completion within a short timeframe.
  
While the role sits within the Governance, Risk and Enterprise Assurance function, the successful candidate's primary focus will take a risk and assurance lens,  progressing key risk management and assurance related deliverables during the engagement.
    
The role will work closely with executives and business areas to strengthen risk management practices, improve risk maturity across the organisation and ensure critical risk priorities are delivered within required timeframes.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the review, implementation and enhancement of the organisations enterprise risk management framework.
• Facilitate enterprise and operational risk assessments across the organisation.
• Maintain and improve organisational risk registers and treatment plans.
• Prepare high-quality risk reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Provide expert advice to managers on risk identification, assessment and mitigation strategies.
