Coordinator/Scheduler for Care Home

Job Location: Galway City
Bluebird Care Galway are seeking enthusiastic, positive and highly organised people to join our expanding team in Galway City. The Care Coordinator / Scheduler plays a key role in the successful day to day running our business.
We are looking for candidates who have excellent interpersonal skills and a warm flexible communication style.

Your responsibilities as a Care Coordinator / Scheduler will include . . .

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, customers and their family members, and with HSE Health and Social Care Services personnel.
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to members of the public & colleagues
  • Provide administration support and effectively co-ordinate work schedules
  • Work on the On-Call service on a rota basis with your colleagues
  • Respond to all customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be the first point of contact for Customers & Staff
  • Provide support to the senior management team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience as a Care Assistant is very desirable but not essential
  • A recognised qualification in office administration or relevant experience
  • Min 1 years’ experience working within a homecare office setting desirable
  • Strong computer literacy skills essential
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure, have the ability to manage their own workloads and whilst also being a team player
  • Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail

Employment Type

  • Full-time role: Office hours 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (start & finish times may be flexible by agreement)
  • Full Driving license desirable
  • On-Call (rota basis)
  • Permanent & Fulltime position
  • Additional income earning opportunities for candidates with Homecare / Home Support experience.
