STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE The successful candidate will play an integral role in leading client engagements, mentoring staff, and driving the continued growth of PGP Consulting’s advisory services. They will work closely with Partners and senior leaders to deliver strategic insights and technical excellence across complex tax and accounting matters. They will also contribute to the firm’s operational efficiency, profitability, and team development - fostering a culture that reflects our vision and values while supporting a diverse and dynamic client portfolio. EXPERIENCE CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) 5+ years in business services, tax or advisory Strong technical knowledge in tax legislation and compliance Experience managing a small team Excellent communication and client relationship skills A proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow management KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise and mentor senior and graduate accountants
PGP Consulting Pty Ltd Simplifying the Complicated • Prepare and review complex financial statements and income tax returns for high-value client groups • Provide technical advice across GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A and other tax areas • Deliver strategic tax planning and business advisory services to clients • Review and provide feedback on work prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance • Support the Partners on consulting and advisory engagements • Manage team workflows and deadlines while maintaining high quality standards • Meet team and individuals’ productivity targets as set out by the Partners • Actively engage with clients and conduct client meetings to discuss financial performance, compliance, and strategic opportunities • Manage WIP and invoicing to be in accordance with the Firms targets • Identify any training gaps in team members and identify solutions to address • Utilise all embedded technological options to reduce requirement of manual intervention SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE To be proficient in the following software products: • Xero Practice Manager (XPM) • Xero Report Builder • Xero Blue • BGL Systems (CA360) – Advantageous, but not essential • FYI Docs – Advantageous, but not essential • Business Fitness Workpapers – Advantageous, but not essential • AccountKit – Advantageous, but not essential • Fathom – Advantageous, but not essential • Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint) This position would suit a motivated and forward-thinking professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take the next step in their career.
