About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to join a well-established aged care facility in beautiful Port Douglas. Working closely with the Clinical Care Manager, you will play a key role in driving clinical excellence and supporting a high standard of person-centred care.

You will provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing and care staff, helping to uplift capability and ensure best practice outcomes for residents.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
• Assist in setting and maintaining clinical standards aligned with best practice
• Mentor and guide Registered Nurses and care staff
• Complete AN-ACC documentation and comprehensive assessments
• Lead and support clinical areas including:
  • Continence management
  • Wound care
  • Medication management
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal resident outcomes
• Delegate tasks and provide clinical oversight to the care team

To be successful you will have 

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Strong clinical knowledge and advanced nursing skills
• Passion for aged care and improving resident outcomes
• Confident leader with the ability to mentor and support teams
• Positive, proactive and team-focused approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable using clinical systems and technology

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current CPR Certificate
• Up-to-date Influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination
• Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and nights
