We're partnering with a well-established Australian organisation undergoing an exciting transformation of its hosting and infrastructure platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure or Systems Engineer with a strong Windows background who has started their cloud journey and is looking to further develop their Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code skills in a large enterprise environment.

You'll join an experienced infrastructure team responsible for supporting and evolving a hybrid environment spanning on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure, with opportunities to contribute to cloud platform initiatives, automation, and modern engineering practices.

The Role

This is a genuinely hybrid infrastructure position where you'll split your time between maintaining critical Windows infrastructure and helping deliver new cloud capabilities.

You'll be involved in:

• Supporting and administering enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Managing VMware and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Supporting Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, certificates and core Microsoft infrastructure services.
• Assisting with Azure platform builds and cloud infrastructure projects.
• Developing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Supporting Azure landing zones and cloud platform improvements.
• Performing server lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching and maintenance.
• Participating in incident, problem and change management.
• Working alongside senior engineers to improve automation, reliability and operational efficiency.

About You

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Strong Active Directory administration skills.
• VMware or enterprise virtualisation experience.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure.
• Some AWS experience is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code.
• PowerShell scripting or automation experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within hybrid infrastructure environments.

We're particularly interested in engineers who are proactive, curious, and motivated to continue developing their cloud engineering skills. This isn't a role where you'll be expected to know everything on day one—you'll be supported by experienced senior engineers while contributing to meaningful infrastructure and cloud transformation projects.
