About the Company

Davidson is proud to be partnering exclusively with Renew Psychology & Behaviour Support, a specialist provider delivering Positive Behaviour Support services across Queensland.

Renew is a values-led organisation built around genuinely person-centred practice. Their approach is grounded in authenticity, inclusion and creating meaningful outcomes for participants, families and the people supporting them.

As Renew continues to grow, they are strengthening their leadership structure and are now looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to step into a key Team Leader position.

This is an opportunity to remain connected to clinical practice while having far greater influence over people, culture, quality and practitioner development.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will lead and support a team of approximately 14–15 Behaviour Support Practitioners, while maintaining a reduced clinical caseload.

This isn't a role where you'll simply manage KPIs from the sidelines.

You'll be an experienced practitioner who can provide credible clinical guidance, support complex cases, develop the capability of other practitioners and create an environment where people feel both supported and accountable.

You'll work closely with the Directors and wider team to strengthen clinical practice, improve consistency and continue building a high-performing and collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Providing clinical guidance across complex cases and practitioner escalations
  • Reviewing Behaviour Support Plans, documentation and practice quality
  • Supporting practitioners to meet clinical, compliance and billable expectations
  • Providing regular supervision, feedback and professional development
  • Supporting NDIS compliance, restrictive practice requirements and quality standards
  • Managing workloads and caseload allocation across the team
  • Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and service delivery
  • Maintaining a reduced but complex clinical caseload

The position can be performed remotely, opening the opportunity to experienced Positive Behaviour Support professionals across Australia.

About You

For this appointment, proven experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential.

You may already be a Team Leader or Clinical Lead, or you could be an experienced Senior, Proficient, Advanced or Specialist Practitioner who has naturally moved into mentoring and supporting others and is ready for formal leadership responsibility.

You will ideally bring:

  • Proven hands-on experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS environment
  • Current suitability to practise as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Commission framework
  • Strong knowledge of Behaviour Support Plans, functional assessment and evidence-based practice
  • Experience working with complex behaviours and regulated restrictive practices
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and associated compliance requirements
  • Experience mentoring, supervising or developing other practitioners
  • Confidence providing constructive clinical feedback and challenging practice where required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative, supportive and accountable leadership style
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or another relevant discipline

Most importantly, you'll be someone who genuinely enjoys developing people.

Technical capability matters, but Renew is looking for a leader who is approachable, authentic and capable of building trust while still setting clear expectations and driving high standards.

The Benefits

  • Fully remote opportunity open to experienced practitioners across Australia
  • Step into a genuine leadership position while maintaining connection to clinical practice
  • Lead and develop an established team of Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Work directly with the Directors and have genuine influence across the organisation
  • Reduced clinical caseload allowing you to focus on leadership and practitioner development
  • Opportunity for an experienced Senior Practitioner to take the next step in their career
  • Join a specialist, values-driven Positive Behaviour Support provider
  • Influence clinical quality, culture and continuous improvement rather than simply managing a team
  • Supportive environment with a strong focus on practitioner development and meaningful participant outcomes

If you're an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who has found yourself increasingly mentoring others, supporting complex cases and becoming the person your colleagues turn to for guidance, this could be the leadership opportunity you've been waiting for.
