About the role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the coordination, processing, and management of payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll enquiries
- Maintain employee records and ensure timely processing of new starters and terminations
- Process payroll accurately and meet deadlines
- Ensure compliance with payroll-related legislation and industrial relations
- Liaise with third-party agencies regarding payroll matters
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end compliance
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in high-volume payroll processing and managing Time & Attendance systems
- Strong capability in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail and deliver high-quality customer service
- Experience in payroll legislation and industrial relations knowledge is advantageous.
