Android Developer

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join a retail client.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Android applications.
• Implement new features and optimise existing code to enhance app performance and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Ensure projects adhere to best practices and company standards.
• Contribute to technical documentation and communicate project progress effectively.
• Adapt to changing project requirements and deliver solutions within deadlines.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Proven experience developing Android applications using Java or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, APIs, and mobile UI design principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

It is desirable if you have:

• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices.
• Prior experience with integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
