An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced leader to join a large and well-established real estate investment manager overseeing a high-performing FM team and a diverse portfolio of assets across Southeast Queensland.
Operating under a fully integrated internal management model, the business manages its assets in-house across property, facilities, asset management, and operations. This structure enables close collaboration across teams, a strong focus on tenant outcomes, and a commitment to delivering operational excellence across the portfolio.
This State Lead role offers the opportunity to influence operational strategy, drive sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives, and lead a high-performing facilities management function within a nationally recognised property platform.

Reporting into senior leadership, this position is responsible for the overall management and performance of facilities operations across the Queensland portfolio.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, this position is responsible for the overall management and performance of facilities operations across the Queensland portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a facilities management team
- Overseeing compliance, WHS, contractor management, and operational risk
- Driving consistency in facilities management standards and service delivery
- Managing contractor procurement, tendering, and vendor performance
- Supporting operational and CAPEX budgeting across the portfolio
- Assisting with acquisitions, onboarding, and transition of new assets
- Collaborating closely with internal property, asset, and development teams
- Supporting ESG, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring accurate reporting, operational governance, and stakeholder engagement across all assets

- Proven leadership experience within facilities or property operations management
- The ability to inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- Excellent understanding of commercial building operations, compliance, and risk management
- Experience managing contractors, procurement processes, and service delivery standards
- Strong commercial acumen including operational budgeting and CAPEX exposure
- A genuine passion for operational excellence, customer experience, and team culture
- The confidence to influence outcomes across multiple internal business units and external partners
- Qualifications in Facilities Management, Property, Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline will be highly regarded, along with exposure to ESG and sustainability initiatives.
