About the Role
This full-time VCE English Teacher position will commence in Term 1, 2027. The successful teacher will deliver English with a focus on senior secondary and VCE students, bringing strong subject knowledge, effective classroom practice and the ability to prepare students for positive VCE outcomes. The initial appointment is expected to be a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the intention of moving to an ongoing position following a successful year. An ongoing appointment may be considered from commencement for an exceptional candidate.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English programs, including teaching at VCE level.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

Collaborate with English colleagues to support curriculum planning, consistent teaching practice and positive VCE outcomes.

Contribute positively to the school's Islamic ethos, professional culture and broader school community.
Requirements

Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

Relevant secondary teaching qualifications with the ability to teach English at VCE level

Strong curriculum knowledge, classroom management and student engagement skills

As a genuine requirement of this position within the school's religious context, the successful candidate must be a practising Muslim
