The Manufacturing Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and controlling direct functions within the manufacturing shop, in addition to managing and coordinating process improvement projects.
* Trains or coaches employees on administrative or technical processes and procedures.
* Ensures the safety of employees.
* Ensures that workers have the necessary equipment and prints to perform their duties.
* Resolves production issues and escalates those that require management attention. * Educates employees on quality standards and procedures.
* Develop work instructions and procedures for manufacturing processes.
* Conduct performance review and formal performance/career development discussions with direct reports.
* Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Supervise approximately 10-15 direct reports.
Monitor employee attendance and timekeeping.
Coach and train employees on procedures and expectations.
Conduct performance management activities.
De-escalate employee concerns and workplace conflicts.
Lead teams within a union manufacturing environment.
Production Oversight
Ensure production schedules and objectives are met.
Monitor shop floor activities.
Ensure employees have required equipment, documentation, and work instructions.
Troubleshooting & Escalation
Learn products and manufacturing processes sufficiently to support troubleshooting efforts.
Escalate production, quality, planning, supply chain, and operational concerns to appropriate departments.
Safety & Quality
Promote and enforce safety requirements.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement
Support process improvements.
Assist with development and maintenance of work instructions and procedures.
Experience & Skills
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
