Overview:
Join a cutting-edge team at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology as a Release Integration Engineer focused on Manufacturing and End of Line (EOL) validation. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the smooth flow of software and firmware updates into our manufacturing environment—facilitating the safe, efficient, and validated deployment of software onto our purpose-built robotaxis. This hands-on position offers a unique opportunity to impact the final steps before vehicles hit public roads, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
Required Skills:
- Fluency with Linux and command-line operations
- Strong Git expertise (cherry-picks, conflict resolution, multi-branch workflows) with 2+ years of experience
- Experience with complex hardware/software systems, capable of understanding component integrations
- Ability to execute and triage tests, reproduce failures, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues
- Excellent process discipline and clear, concise written communication
- Proven ability to coordinate, escalate, and make critical go/no-go decisions under time pressure
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in release, build, or manufacturing-test environments within automotive, robotics, or hardware sectors
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems, Docker/containers, and firmware deployment or flashing techniques
- Exposure to Jira, structured release/change management processes, and embedded/automotive communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet, and ECUs
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in software release, integration, or manufacturing environments, ideally within high-reliability industries
Other Requirements:
- This position is onsite in Hayward, CA, requiring 5 days in the office with an expected daily start time of 8:00 AM PT
- Ability to work effectively under live production pressure with strong coordination skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-moving environment, with a focus on process discipline and operational excellence
