The Role
We are partnering with an insurance firm that is seeking an Assistant Manager, Financial Risk to join its regional team in Singapore.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in risk management, ALM, actuarial, valuation or insurance finance to play a strategic role in supporting regional risk oversight and business growth initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with regional stakeholders to assess financial risks, strengthen risk frameworks and provide independent risk insights across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with regional stakeholders to assess financial risks, strengthen risk frameworks and provide independent risk insights across the business.
Responsibilities
- Support regional financial risk oversight across business units in the Asia Pacific region
- Assess and monitor key risk trends relating to business performance, solvency and market developments
- Provide risk input and challenge on business initiatives, product developments and strategic projects
- Support credit risk and asset liability management (ALM) activities, including monitoring and risk assessments
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of regional risk management frameworks and governance processes
- Partner with regional and group stakeholders on risk reporting, business planning and risk-related initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within life insurance, investment management or financial risk management
- Experience in risk management, asset liability management (ALM), actuarial, pricing or valuation functions
- Good understanding of life insurance products, insurance solvency frameworks and financial risk management principles
- Knowledge of credit risk, financial markets and macroeconomic factors impacting insurance businesses
- Strong quantitative, analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business and functional teams
- Progress towards or possession of actuarial, investment management or financial risk management qualifications would be advantageous
