Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for sales compensation and data accuracy? We’re seeking a highly skilled Sales Compensation Analyst to play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless administration of our sales incentive plans. Based in San Francisco, CA, this hybrid contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a dynamic team supporting a large and diverse sales organization, where your expertise will directly impact our sales operations and success.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and reconcile sales compensation plan documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance through DocuSign and CaptivateIQ.
- Perform monthly payfile audits and identify discrepancies to ensure precise payout processes.
- Reconcile commissions data from CaptivateIQ with source systems such as Salesforce and Snowflake, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Support the handling of compensation exceptions and disputes, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Uphold SOX compliance by following established SOPs and identifying opportunities for automation or process improvement.
- Partner with Sales Ops, Finance, RevOps, and Data Analytics teams to synchronize data, policies, and payouts.
- Generate ad hoc reports on compensation trends and payout accuracy for leadership review.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales compensation administration or analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Hands-on experience with CaptivateIQ or equivalent platforms (Xactly, Spiff, Varicent).
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Snowflake, and Tableau.
- Familiarity with DocuSign or similar e-signature tools.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex compensation information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supporting large sales organizations (~350 reps).
- Knowledge of automation tools or experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience working in highly regulated environments involving SOX controls.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in sales compensation, ideally with experience supporting numerous commission plans and variations.
Other Requirements:
- Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA (3 days/week onsite).
- Contract Duration: 5-6 months, with potential for extension.
- This role requires strong operational expertise, hands-on use of compensation platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure accurate and timely commission processing.
