About our client

Our client is seeking reliable and hardworking people to join their team within a busy meat processing environment.
We have multiple ongoing casual opportunities available for Cleaners, Labourers, Knifehands and Packers. These roles are ideal for people who enjoy hands-on work, can work well in a fast-paced environment and are looking for consistent Monday to Friday hours.

You will be joining a supportive team environment with training provided and opportunities for ongoing work.

What you'll do

Depending on the position, your duties may include:

• Unloading products from trucks
• Packing and preparing meat products
• General labouring duties within the processing facility
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
• Knifehand duties, where applicable
• Working safely and efficiently in a high-volume production environment
• Following strict food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
• Performing repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
• Following instructions from supervisors and working effectively as part of a team

What you'll need

To be successful in these roles, you will:

• Be physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
• Have a reliable and positive attitude towards work
• Be reliable and punctual, with a strong attendance record
• Be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Be comfortable working in a cold environment
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Have a sound understanding of food handling and strict hygiene standards
• Have previous meat industry experience (preferred, but not essential)
• Be available for 5:00am starts, Monday to Friday
• Have a current Q Fever vaccination or be willing to obtain one
• Be willing to complete a drug and functional capacity assessment
• Have Australian citizenship or full working rights in Australia
