About the Role
This is a hands on and influential role that partners closely with leaders and frontline teams to provide practical safety advice, coaching and support across regional operations. Reporting to the SH&W Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in driving a positive safety culture, supporting compliance with legislation and strengthening the organisation's Safety & Health Management System.

About the Role
This is a hands on and influential role that partners closely with leaders and frontline teams to provide practical safety advice, coaching and support across regional operations. Reporting to the SH&W Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in driving a positive safety culture, supporting compliance with legislation and strengthening the organisation's Safety & Health Management System.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coach and influence leaders and operational teams to build ownership, accountability and positive safety behaviours.
- Provide practical advice and support on safety management systems, policies, procedures, hazard management and legislative compliance.
- Support the delivery of the organisation's critical risk program and monitor the effectiveness of critical risk controls.
- Lead and support incident investigations using ICAM methodology, ensuring timely completion and effective corrective actions.
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits, providing practical recommendations to reduce risk and improve compliance.
- Analyse safety performance data and KPIs, identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and contribute to a range of safety improvement projects across the region.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver health and wellbeing initiatives and promote a proactive approach to workplace safety.
You are an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys working alongside operational leaders to influence positive change. You have a practical, solutions focused approach and are confident building relationships across diverse workforces and geographically dispersed operations.
You will also bring:
- Qualificatons in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent), or significant equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience within high risk operational environments such as utilities, mining, construction, engineering or similar industries.
- Strong coaching, communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience implementing and continuously improving Safety Management Systems.
- Sound knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation and legislative compliance.
- Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits and investigations.
- ICAM Investigation qualification (or similar) will be highly regarded.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, First Aid and Injury Management qualifications are desirable.
