Industrial Sandblaster

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Industrial Sandblaster to join a production team. The ideal candidate will prepare metal surfaces for painting, coating, or fabrication by operating abrasive blasting equipment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, and a commitment to quality and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces.
• Remove rust, paint, mill scale, grease, and other contaminants from steel and fabricated components.
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Load and unload materials safely.
• Maintain blasting equipment, hoses, nozzles, and blast media.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with other shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial sandblasting or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in hot, dusty, and noisy environments.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
