Infringement Review Officer 

Location: Northern Suburbs
Hours: 38 hours per week
Duration: ASAP – 14 December 2026
Rate: $39–$49 per hour + super

We are looking for an experienced Infringements Review Officer to join a local council in Melbourne’s northern suburbs on a temporary contract through to 14 December 2026.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service skills who has experience working in an enforcement environment. 

About the role: 

• Provide customer service and administrative support across the Appeals Department.
• Process Driver Nominations for Parking infringements
• Review Family Violence and Enforcement Review cases
• Manage and respond to requests and complaints within established timeframes.
• Prepare routine written correspondence and maintain accurate records.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, Council policies and procedures.

Key Criteria: 

• Previous experience in an administrative role within a compliance, enforcement or government environment.
• An understanding of the types of enforcement activities undertaken within a compliance team within local council.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Local government experience is highly regarded
