Head of Training & Academy (Aviation)

Monroe Consulting Group is currently seeking an experienced Training & Academy Manager on behalf of a reputable organization in the aviation industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Training & Development professional to lead the Training Academy, strengthen operational competencies, and drive employee development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Lead and manage the Training Academy, including training teams and internal trainers.
• 
  Develop and implement annual training strategies, programmes, and budgets.
• 
  Ensure compliance with Indonesian DGCA regulations, aviation training requirements, and relevant IATA standards.
• 
  Manage mandatory, technical, operational, safety, and recurrent training programmes.
• 
  Design and deliver training programmes, workshops, and Train-the-Trainer sessions.
• 
  Develop internal trainers and manage competency assessment processes.
• 
  Implement digital learning solutions, including LMS, e-learning, and blended learning.
• 
  Ensure accurate training records, certification tracking, and compliance reporting.
• 
  Collaborate with Operations, HR, Quality, Safety, and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• 
  Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 
  Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Training, Learning & Development, or Training Management.
• 
  Proven experience leading training teams and managing comprehensive training programmes.
• 
  Hands-on experience in training delivery, facilitation, and presentation.
• 
  Recognized Train-the-Trainer qualification and relevant professional certifications where required.
• 
  Strong knowledge of instructional design, training needs analysis, adult learning, and training evaluation.
• 
  Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning.
• 
  Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• 
  Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred Experience

• 
  Background in aviation, airport operations, ground handling, air cargo, or airline training.
• 
  Knowledge of IATA AHM, ISAGO, and aviation safety training standards.
• 
  Experience managing an Aviation Training Academy or operational training department.
• 
  Relevant IATA, DGCA, or BNSP-recognized certifications.
• 
  Experience in competency-based training, OJT, and multinational organizations.
