Water Treatment Account Manager – Scotland

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Bonus + Electric Company Car

Location: Scotland – Home-based (Central Belt preferred)


An excellent opportunity for an experienced Water Treatment Account Manager to join a leading international organisation, managing and developing an established portfolio of industrial customers across Scotland.


This is a home-based, field-based technical sales position that combines account management, customer relationship development, technical support, and new business opportunities.


You will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, providing technical water treatment solutions and identifying opportunities to increase business across a diverse industrial customer base.

The role would suit an experienced Water Treatment Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or commercially minded Water Treatment professional looking for their next career move.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and develop an established portfolio of industrial water treatment customers across Scotland.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers, maximising retention and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and secure new business.
  • Provide technical advice and support across industrial water treatment applications.
  • Work with customers on boiler water treatment, cooling water systems, closed loops and associated chemical treatment technologies.
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate water treatment solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals and commercial quotations.
  • Plan and manage customer visits across Scotland, developing an effective territory strategy.
  • Achieve agreed sales, account retention and business development objectives.


Candidate Requirements


  • Previous experience in industrial water treatment, ideally within technical sales or account management.
  • Knowledge of boiler water, cooling towers, closed-loop systems and industrial water treatment applications.
  • Alternatively, a strong technical chemical, chemical service or industrial process background with commercial experience.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and grow existing accounts.
  • Commercially aware with strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independently managing a large geographical territory.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Basic salary of £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience.
