Senior Accountant

Harrison McMillan is partnering with a respected accounting and advisory firm to recruit a Senior Accountant with strong taxation and SMSF experience.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with clients, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services while supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of business clients across various industries
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS obligations
• Providing proactive taxation, business, and financial advice
• Assisting clients with budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Mentoring and supporting junior accountants
• Identifying opportunities to add value and support client growth

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience within public practice accounting
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards
• SMSF compliance and reporting experience
• Exposure to or experience in business valuations, business restructuring, family law matters, and estate planning/estate administration engagements
• Experience managing client relationships independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, commercial, and solutions-focused mindset
