I'm looking for a Business Development Manager to join a growing team and play a key role in expanding the Packaging and Assembly services across Melbourne's southeast. This is an opportunity to combine commercial success with social purpose, helping create meaningful employment opportunities for people living with disabilities through high-quality business solutions.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Partnership Officer, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new B2B opportunities across a range of industries. Working closely with operational and leadership teams, you'll build a strong sales pipeline, develop tailored solutions for clients, and support the successful onboarding and growth of customer accounts.

This role offers autonomy, variety and the opportunity to make a genuine difference while contributing to ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage prospective B2B customers across target industries.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through proactive business development activity.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and tender submissions that align with customer requirements and operational capabilities.
  • Develop strong relationships with new clients and support successful account onboarding.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope opportunities and deliver commercially viable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records and activity reporting.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs and market developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Contribute insights and reporting to senior leadership.
About You:

You are a motivated and resilient sales professional who enjoys building relationships and uncovering opportunities.
You'll bring:
  • Previous experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Growth.
  • Exposure to packaging, assembly, manufacturing, logistics, fulfilment, outsourcing or a related B2B services environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to understand customer requirements and operational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a focus on achieving targets and delivering results.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience within social enterprise, social procurement, inclusive employment or disability employment sectors.
  • Exposure to preparing tenders, proposals and sales reports.

Location: Based across our Bayswater, Notting Hill and Hallam sites, with regular travel to customer locations as required.
