Position Summary
Our client, a leading energy company, is seeking a Project Scheduler/Planner to join their Scheduling and Planning group within the Engineering and Construction Division, based in Juno Beach, Florida. Reporting to the group Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and progress tracking of project schedules across a diverse portfolio of energy technologies. This is a key role within a collaborative team, offering exposure to multiple working groups and the opportunity to drive project success across the full project lifecycle across technologies including Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, Transmission Lines, Substations, Pipelines, and Combined Cycle facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring accuracy across all project phases.
- Prepare monthly progress reports for construction projects, comparing baseline-approved schedules against current progress schedules, incorporating critical path method (CPM) analysis, resource loading, cost loading, manpower planning, submittal tracking, impact projections, and recovery plans.
- Collaborate directly with Project Originators, Developers, Engineers, Early Stage Managers, and Construction Managers to gather scope, logistics, and constraints for incorporation into project plans.
- Lead Schedule Review Meetings with project stakeholders, coordinating requirements and ensuring resources are aligned with the correct project activities.
- Support a broad portfolio of energy infrastructure projects spanning Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, Transmission Lines, Substations, Pipelines, and Combined Cycle facilities.
- Report project status and schedule variances to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Drive project success through the full project lifecycle as a key contributor within the Scheduling and Planning group.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of project scheduling experience; alternatively, 4+ years in Project Management with demonstrated experience tracking project plans against schedule baselines and performing ad-hoc analyses.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or the ability to rapidly learn and apply scheduling software.
- Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to engage project participants at all levels to gather inputs and build effective plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting schedule data to management and cross-functional teams.
- Analytical approach with proven ability to review, validate, and critically assess external information.
- Strong process management, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities with a bias toward action.
