Ignite Accounting - Senior Accountant

Looking for strong advisory experience and standard compliance.

This is a senior role and will be required to lead a team of well-trained professionals. You present well and are professional in the way you engage clients. Services are delivered professionally, client expectations are managed, and you pre-empt issues through client guidance and coaching. As a senior person in the team, you will guide and develop internal processes and procedures, drive continual improvements in these areas, and recommend workflow solutions. You enjoy expanding your knowledge and developing your personal and professional skills. You uphold the belief that each person must have fun and enjoy what they do daily; they are rewarded for good work and coached when not performing. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Lead & coach an accountant and a junior.

Work with the Practice Manager to manage workload scheduling across your team utilising the Xero Practice platform and associated tools.

You will manage a small client portfolio and tasked with onboarding new clients and expanding your portfolio of clients.

Provide an environment where the team can excel through continual improvement in process, innovation, customer service, and education.

Ensure workloads are balanced and utilise outsourced support (Odyssey) to maintain a work- life balance with staff in the office and quality of client service.

Encourage team development of documentation around procedures and policies.

Ensure record-keeping and practice online filing is maintained to the highest standard.

Ensure that work papers are well documented for all clients.

Assist the Principal with system development and design, problem resolutions and solutions.
