Print Operator 1st Shift

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Elyria, OH. The primary objective is to maintain continuous high-quality production from the beginning of the printing process to the completion of the product on reel. The role involves safely and efficiently operating all print-producing machinery according to work instructions and training expectations.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor operating parameters and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest quality product is attainable.
• Ensure tape is marked with the proper print line as specified in the Quality Manual.
• Ensure tape is within tolerance, including wall thickness, outside diameter, length, and overall appearance.
• Perform line changes, including the setup and changeover of production lines with Supervisor or Lead.
• Document all dimensions of the product on production reports accurately and inform the supervisor of any quality issues or production changes.
• Load and maintain the required amount of raw materials on reels.
• Understand different yarn types that are commonly used and their applications.
• Actively participate in all plant activities, including training, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Report any unsafe conditions or broken equipment to the supervisor and/or management team member.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic proficiency in English.
• Around 6 months of equipment/machine operating work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with using common measuring devices and hand tools.
• Experience following work instructions and performing basic math calculations to track product quality.
• Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects.
• Must be able to wear all required protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, gloves, and eye and hearing protection.
