The Role

This is a genuine leadership position, not a senior accountant role with a new title.

As Accounting Manager, you'll become the technical and operational lead for the accounting team. You'll work closely with the directors to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, the team is supported and developed, and clients receive a great experience.

This is a role where you'll have real influence from day one.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BASs and bookkeeping work

Acting as the first point of contact for technical queries from the team

Supporting and mentoring junior team members

Managing workflow and monitoring job progress and budgets

Handling client queries and explaining technical matters clearly

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems

About You

You're an experienced accountant who's ready to step into—or further grow—a true leadership role in a small firm environment.

You'll likely have:

8+ years experience in public practice

CA or CPA qualification

Strong technical knowledge across tax and accounting compliance

Experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns

Confidence communicating directly with clients

Experience mentoring or leading junior team members

And you'll be someone who:

Communicates directly and with confidence

Takes ownership and knows when to escalate

Enjoys developing others and improving how a team operates
